Sadly, Mackenzie has officially outgrown Easter Egg hunts. Mason, on the other hand, still enjoys a good "hunt" but not a "pick". Let me explain the difference for those of you might not have small children at home. An Easter Egg pick is when a large number of eggs are dropped in a confined area and the children scramble to pick up as many eggs as possible. An Easter Egg hunt is when the eggs are actually hidden or camouflaged in a large area. There are plenty of picks around town but hunts are much more difficult to locate. Luckily, our local Sweetbay grocery store offers a free hunt for kids. Over 1300 hundred eggs are hidden among the produce, meats, and shelved items. There are a few lucky eggs containing tickets for stuffed animals, toys, and chocolate bunnies. Unfortunately, Mason did not find a lucky egg this year.

Happily, one thing the kids have not outgrown this year is dyeing eggs.

Happy Easter to all! We have attended Mass, joined friends for a lunch full of comfort foods and will be spending the rest of the afternoon in the pool while putting our Easter Peeps to good use. Enjoy!
