2nd Grade

Today was my first day in 2nd grade. I am so excited to be at Poinciana. We unpacked, went to the calendar, and read a story called "Have you filled a bucket today". It was a really good story.

Middle School

Hi, it's Mackenzie and today was a huge day for me because I started middle school. You know there is a lot more class time than social time because we only have 4 minutes to get to our classes. All of my classes were really fun except for gym but they call it throw/catch. It was really boring because all you did was go and buy your lockers. Lunch was super stressful because I'm in lunch group B when all of my friends are in lunch group A. It was also stressful because there was a huge mix up with the lunch schedule and the teachers told us to go and ask the people in the cafeteria. I had trouble with my locker until a teacher finally helped me, so, I ended up late for gym.

21 Years Ago Today

On our wedding day on August 20, 1988, my brother-in-law (Trevor) toasted us with a poem from Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Although I can't remember the exact poem, I thought I would post a more famous one from Elizabeth. Darin, this is for you. I love you more today than the day I married you. Happy Anniversary!

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for right.
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints. I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

Fun in the Sun

We went to Stuart to visit Kayla, aunt Sharon and uncle Jim for a night. When we got there we all went out on the boat to this little island place. Then that night we went out on the boat to get ice cream. And then the following day we went out to breakfast by boat. That is Mason driving on our way to breakfast. After we went to breakfast we went to this deserted beach on the boat. I didn't like it too much because I don't usually swim in the sea. However I did feel comfortable swimming the day earlier at the island so I made everyone go there after that. It was even better than before because the water came up and covered most of the beach which left a great portion of it only two feet deep! So we all floated there while aunt Sharon and Mom talked and uncle Jim tried to catch a crab. Then when we got back Mom, Dad, Mason and uncle Jim went out on the boat to let Dad and Mason go knee boarding.

New Eyeglasses

So when our company was in town I got my very first pair of glasses!I got dark blue polo glasses that are kind of like my dad's. I sort of kind of have my dad's vision because his eyesight is 20/30 and mine is 20/40. But my eyesight is probably going to get worse because mom and dad both had glasses when they were in college.

Welcome

We are the NaplesMorgans and we have a dog (Wagner) who is 7, and he is a Chinese Crested Powder Puff, not the hairless but the double coated kind. Mason is 13, and he is a big fan of basketball and football. I work as a technology teacher at a local elementary school. Darin has his own business called Ascendant Wealth Management. Mackenzie is 16, and she loves to spend her time practicing for drumline and watching movies.
