21 Years Ago Today

On our wedding day on August 20, 1988, my brother-in-law (Trevor) toasted us with a poem from Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Although I can't remember the exact poem, I thought I would post a more famous one from Elizabeth. Darin, this is for you. I love you more today than the day I married you. Happy Anniversary!

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for right.
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints. I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror and I had grown a mustache.

Fun in the Sun

We went to Stuart to visit Kayla, aunt Sharon and uncle Jim for a night. When we got there we all went out on the boat to this little island place. Then that night we went out on the boat to get ice cream. And then the following day we went out to breakfast by boat. That is Mason driving on our way to breakfast. After we went to breakfast we went to this deserted beach on the boat. I didn't like it too much because I don't usually swim in the sea. However I did feel comfortable swimming the day earlier at the island so I made everyone go there after that. It was even better than before because the water came up and covered most of the beach which left a great portion of it only two feet deep! So we all floated there while aunt Sharon and Mom talked and uncle Jim tried to catch a crab. Then when we got back Mom, Dad, Mason and uncle Jim went out on the boat to let Dad and Mason go knee boarding.

New Eyeglasses

So when our company was in town I got my very first pair of glasses!I got dark blue polo glasses that are kind of like my dad's. I sort of kind of have my dad's vision because his eyesight is 20/30 and mine is 20/40. But my eyesight is probably going to get worse because mom and dad both had glasses when they were in college.

Cousins

So we had our cousins, grandparents and uncle come down for a week. One day we went to Koreshan Park (which is where I had my Birthday party.) Okay, just so you understand let's go over all of the names: there is Taylor who is 8 years old and is in the third picture, Tanner who is 10 and is in the 1st and 2nd picture above. Then there is Uncle Derek and Nana and Grandpa (PS they are all from my mom's side of the family.) Back to Koreshan Park, first we walked the nature trail that leads to the old houses and then we walked the nature trail back. Tanner really liked this because he is really into nature and outdoors. And sorry you can't see Taylor's face because we didn't get very much pictures of her.

Pizza Anyone?

Okay, so 2 weeks ago we went to Ci Ci's Pizza with the Mom's group. But we didn't just go there we got to have a tour of the kitchen AND make some pizzas. That's me making a pizza in the kitchen.

Happy Father's Day

That's me, Mason and my dad on Father's Day at Outback. For Father's day, Dad got a grill and a bucket of things like beer, grilling tools and chocolate golf balls on a stick. For desert, after dinner, we surprised him with a mini cake and cupcakes from Cold Stone Ice Cream.

Welcome

We are the NaplesMorgans and we have a dog (Wagner) who is 7, and he is a Chinese Crested Powder Puff, not the hairless but the double coated kind. Mason is 13, and he is a big fan of basketball and football. I work as a technology teacher at a local elementary school. Darin has his own business called Ascendant Wealth Management. Mackenzie is 16, and she loves to spend her time practicing for drumline and watching movies.
